Burnham is being told by his "advisers" to either abandon the 'triple lock' on pension or reduce spending on benefits. The first is a scheme meant to protect pensioners who have worked, contributed, & supposedly invested their hard earned money to sustain them in retirement. The second is being paid to many who choose not to work, many of foreign birth, & millions now claiming to have mental problems having been signed off work by lazy woke doctors. Meanwhile, because idle scroungers are receiving handouts they don't deserve, people with genuine illnesses & problems are struggling to even buy food. It's damn obvious where cuts should be made. But, with an administration commited to DEI stupidity & clearly obcessed with Marxist ideology, government spending will only increase - along with sick-notes, unemployment, & minorities squealing for more. Somehow we need to turn this ridiculous situation around so that people get what they truly deserve (& that includes poverty for those who can - but refuse to - contribute, along with foreigners who shouldn't even be here). Britain & decent hard working British people must come first - everything & everyone else can wait in line until there's money to spare - which, right now, there clearly isn't. Beloud
