*URGENT PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT* This morning, we discovered that *a street-light cable wire lying exposed on the surface of the ground at No. 30 Sylvester Ogbaga Street, Convent Road, Abakaliki, was apparently about to be removed by suspected hoodlums.* According to information gathered, the suspects were reportedly confronted and questioned by a passing Keke rider during the night, particularly while there was heavy rainfall. *I am therefore calling on the Ebonyi State Ministry of Power/Electrical Services and the relevant authorities responsible for street lighting in Abakaliki Metropolis to urgently visit No. 30 Sylvester Ogbaga Street, Convent Road, inspect the exposed cable and take immediate steps to secure it from theft or further damage.* I also respectfully appeal to the Ebonyi State Government, led by His Excellency, Rt. Hon.
