In case y’all were wondering why I haven’t posted my first post yet today—this picture explains it all! 😱🦷 It was taken right before my oral surgery 🏥 this morning, about 12 hours ago. One of my teeth had to be extracted, and because apparently I never do anything the easy way, it had shattered into several pieces after I chewed some gebrannte Mandeln the other day and was sent to specialist! Those delicious German roasted almonds suddenly became very expensive almonds! 😂 As y’all know from last week’s dentist post, sitting in that chair is one of my biggest fears. BTW that very dentist appointment was actually what sent me to surgery today. When I woke up this morning, I wondered how on earth I would get myself out of bed, make it to the clinic, and willingly sit down in another dentist’s chair. 😅🙈 But I made it! Twelve hours, eight ice packs, four painkillers, and one bowl of warm soup later, I can say I’m doing okay under the circumstances. I’m sore, swollen, tired, and definitely not ready for a steak—but the worst part is behind me! Sometimes courage doesn’t mean that you aren’t afraid. It simply means that you show up despite the fear. 💪😎 Never underestimate yourself.
