This year could well see the return of the riots we saw in 2024 - & for very similar reasons... Abysmal government & policing. In '24 the authorities deliberately concealed details of the Southport murderer because of his race. This time an innocent guy died as a direct consequence of our government's & polices' policies regarding race. A simple genuine apology, along with admitting their racial policies are flawed & need amending, would go a long way to diffusing the rage felt by many of us. Outside Southampton police station last night, when the protestors asked the police to 'take the knee', had a senior officer done just that (as so many did following Floyd's death) it would have immediately reduced tension. But we all know, from past experiences, neither our government nor police give a damn about Britain's native population - the death of a drugged up black criminal in America is far more important to them than the horrible death of an innocent young British white guy in similar circumstances. This could have been the moment our society changed for the better, a time when our government & police discarded their discredited DEI initiatives & pledged to do what they're paid for - protect the general public (not just ethnic or minority groups) without fear or favour. But this hasn't, & is unlikely to happen. It seems our clear & obvious two-tier justice system is destined to continue. That being the case, whatever happens next (civil unrest or worse) will be entirely the fault - not of immigrants or the 'far right' - but of our government & justice system... And both authorities need to be held to account for the immense harm they've inflicted on our country & it's people. Beloud
