I recently reviewed the YouTube Video: What the Dutch said about Canada after 8 months of Occupation. It wasn't the extreme casualties that Canada voluntarily took to liberate Holland that brought tears to my eyes, it is how the Dutch treasure our Veterans and Fallen. I will explain: As Canada prepared to liberate Holland towards the end of WW2, Canadian Command decided to take the hard road in order to save Dutch Lives and Property. No artillery saturation, no carpet bombing, just boots on the ground. 7000 plus KIA, and Wounded by the time it ended. Today? Today the Dutch People cherish and Remember our Sacrifice, Liberation, and especially our Fallen. ALL YEAR LONG!
