See new posts Conversation SafetySwipe @SafetyNotorious On September 26, 1993, Luther Gerald "Jerry" Parks Jr., owner of a private security firm that provided guards for Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign headquarters in Little Rock, was fatally shot multiple times (approximately 10 shots from a 9mm handgun) while driving near Chenal Parkway and Highway 10. An assailant in a white Chevrolet Caprice fired alongside his vehicle; witnesses reported the shots, and 9mm casings were recovered. Two months earlier, in late July 1993, his home on Barrett Road was burglarized—intruders cut phone lines and disarmed the alarm. Family members reported files were stolen. His son Gary said that Bill Clinton organized the assassination because of Parks's knowledge of drug trafficking. The homicide remains unsolved and open.
