With fellow United Opposition leaders including the Second Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya Rigathi Gachagua and Eugene Wamalwa in Gilgil after laying Mama Terry Kariuki to rest, widow of our national unsung hero JM Kariuki. JM Kariuki is one of Kenya’s unsung heroes and Mama Terry’s passing is a stark reminder to all of us that we are running out of time to honour the sacrifices made by that generation of leaders who gave everything so that we would be free from the shackles of colonialism and oppression. We must not let their dreams die with them. We also must remember JM’s vision for a just and equal Kenya, a dream we must never abandon.
