Very recently in hospital, I awoke in the morning to see the following on my patient notification board: "You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think..." Of course, it was a well-known quotation from A.A.Milne's Winnie the Pooh, and yes, I had read it before, but somehow, there were two factors which made it stand out. The first was that my little night nurse had found time in her busy schedule to write this while I slept. Her kindness and intuitiveness were just so special. Thank you, Tam! The second factor was that I really needed to read and think about those words of encouragement. If ever I needed them, it was then. Yes, they did make a difference. We all face problems sooner or later in life, and we need to know that there is more within us than we have hitherto suspected. We have been created with some exceptional gifts, including the power to heal; the ability to assess and communicate; to look beyond the darkness, and see that the coming dawn will bring light and answers. I hope that Tam's message for me may be helpful to many. Beloud
